It's much darker today. I really don't like when the sky is all gloomy and it's cold. It just makes me want to curl up, back in bed, and sleep until it gets warmer and brighter.

Today, when I walked out of Union Station into the chilly morning, this little sparkle of joy came over me as I passed underneath the gigantic, lit-up Christmas wreaths hanging in the three arches of the main facade. Plus, as we finish up this month, I am only in the DC office seven times in the next three weeks! Yay, holidays!

Yay! I'm up to date now. This is the photo I took this morning. We had a Nor'easter possibly hitting us last night, but I think it missed. It's just fricken cold out here. And in good ol' DMV style, it's forecasted to be in the upper 60's this weekend.

It somehow looks spookier today. It may also be that this is the first day most people are going back to work after Frankenstorm Sandy hit. I'm not in costume, but I am wearing orange and black. Happy Halloween!
